Helloooo Folks!

Well the end/beginning of the week has come again and it’s time for me to talk with yeh guys again. Any who, I’ve been staring into the void formerly known as House Of Leaves for a while now, probably too long. I’m reaching the point where the void is no longer stares back at me but a purple bunny with breasts does (the sole fact that I know the HoL forums so well that I can recall this obscure reference is strong evidence towards my point) .

Don’t get me wrong, I love this project. I love this project just as a hunter loves his prey: he loves the object of his desire cleverly eluding him making him a better hunter.  However this hunt is one that can’t be done in one go. Seriously folks, I’ve spent 200 hours, 100.000 words and basically a lot of the last 5 months of my life devoted to this damn book. I just hung out with my best friend for the first time in 2 months on Saturday. We went disc golfing, one of my favourite sports, that day. I had a good time.  This is a slightly sad existence, one I’m willing to accept for short periods of time but it’s time for a break.

I’m taking a break (and unlike the authors of the key to all mythologies [again a normal person shouldn’t know on demand the link to this thread] I will continue and finish what I started). I need to go out and play more. I have several other projects that have been taking second priority to this one. To name a few:

I’m planning a bike ride to San Francisco from St. Louis. You can follow me at mapmyride.com under Sam Miller at map my ride.

Also I’m taking this time off to explore a fictional writing project that’s been fermenting for the last year or so: Nature hates man. Hurricanes have ruined the coast, Mt. St. Helens has created a country covered in ash, and earthquakes have torn the Midwest into two pieces.  This is a tale of two men and one city. One man has been drawn to this city by solace and one by revenge. Neither find what they’re looking for but find something much more fundamental to humanities future.

Also I’m doing well in school, for those whose care, got a 4.0 gpa so far. Due to the living situation and also due to me getting burnt out I’m going to take a break before this project breaks me.

Anywho these are my plans, I’ll post more links to me other social networks and such later as they develop.

Cheers,

-Miller

P.S. To those who read this post before today (11/7/2012) I retroactively apologize for the rather deplorable grammar. I’ve been sick all week and nyquil has been doing it’s best to seem me through. Feeling better now though.
